This Privacy Policy explains what information Residency Central (“we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Email address. We collect your email when you sign in. We use a passwordless one-time code, so we do not store a password.
- Content you submit. Reviews, ratings, comments, and reports you create, along with the time they were created.
- Usage and technical data. Standard server and log information (such as IP address and browser type) generated when you use the Service.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and operate your account;
- To display reviews and ratings on the Service;
- To send you sign-in codes and respond to your requests;
- To maintain safety, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- To understand and improve the Service.
Anonymous reviews
When you choose to post a review anonymously, your email and identity are not shown to other users. We still associate the review with your account internally so you can manage it and so we can enforce our Terms.
Service providers
We rely on third-party providers to operate the Service, including a hosting and database provider (Supabase) and an email delivery provider (Resend). These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with the service providers described above, or when required to comply with the law, protect our rights, or respond to lawful requests.
Your choices and rights
- You can edit or delete your own reviews at any time while signed in.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing us at the address below.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information as required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
