Terms of Service

Effective June 28, 2026

Welcome to Residency Central (“the Service”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Residency Central

The Service is intended for medical students, residents, fellows, and physicians. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit content. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account secure.

2. Your account

We use passwordless sign-in via a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account and for keeping access to your email secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

3. Reviews and other content you submit

You retain ownership of the reviews, ratings, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Residency Central a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

You agree that your User Content will:

  • Reflect your own genuine, first-hand experience;
  • Be truthful and not knowingly false or misleading;
  • Not contain defamatory, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory statements;
  • Not disclose private or identifying information about other individuals (for example, naming a specific person in connection with sensitive allegations);
  • Not include spam, advertising, or content you do not have the right to share;
  • Not violate any law or the rights of others.

Reviews represent the personal opinions and experiences of individual contributors. They are not verified by Residency Central and do not reflect our views. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any review.

4. Moderation and reporting

You can report content you believe violates these Terms using the report option on each review. We may, but are not obligated to, review, remove, or edit any User Content, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms — at our discretion and without notice. You may edit or delete your own reviews at any time.

5. Program information

Program listings and details are compiled from publicly available sources, including the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Residency Central is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the ACGME or any residency program, hospital, or institution listed. This information may be incomplete or out of date and is provided for general reference only.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is accurate. Nothing on the Service is professional, medical, legal, or career advice.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Residency Central and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from any User Content.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Residency Central and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your User Content or your violation of these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
